He told me about a poem he came across reecently. <br /><blockquote>Journey Beyond Time <br />by Night Hope <br /><br />The Soul navigates<br /> through treacherous climes<br />and reveals<br /> direction of Thought.<br />We must become<br /> pirates of Destiny<br />before we can<br /> see beyond the Horizon.<br />Take flight into Oblivion <br /> & do not regret<br />the lack of wind in your sails---<br />there are those<br /> on the Silent Shore<br />who would willingly <br /> trade their earth-bound feet.<br />Be glorious as you soar,<br /> for there are eyes upon you, <br /> measuring the distance<br />between you & the Sun...<br /></blockquote><br />We spent a good 15 minutes discussing about it and the topic shifted to destiny and fate and dream. And no discussion about destiny and dream would be complete without even the slightest reference to <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0062502182/102-7614338-9237759?v=glance&n=283155&n=507846&s=books&v=glance">The Alchemist</a>. <br />I could continue explaining my interpretation of the poem and its relevance to my life. But, my discussion last night clearly showed that it can be interpreted in different ways with relevance to each ones life. So I shall leave that to you.
